Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What will the services be like?

Our services are contemporary with real-life answers for real-life issues. The service usually lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.

2. What should I wear?

Casual clothing is the norm at Here's Hope. We encourage people to wear whatever is comfortable and appropriate to them.

3. What about my kids?

Our children's program is a fun-filled ministry that addresses the needs of children of all ages. We provide a wonderful nursery during worship as well as offer a children's church experience.

4. Do you ask for money?

We do not make pleas for money. We are a non-profit organization and we exist solely by the contributions of our members. Those who belong to our church family feel strongly about its mission and our vision for changed lives and give freely and generously toward that goal. We believe that if God expects individuals to live by faith then we as a church family will live by the same faith that God will move hearts without external compulsion to give for the needs that we have. For more information you can examine our "budget" in the "About Here's Hope" menu.

5. What makes Here's Hope unique?

Here's Hope is unique in the fact that we believe that God changes folks from the inside out. We don't expect you to start acting like a churchy person just because you have started to attend church. Many of the struggles of life come from trying to follow rules rather than starting from the central point of God's love and forgiveness. When you come to the realization that you are forgiven and are a brand new creation in Christ, you begin to WANT to change. No one has to compel you to act different. It is a work of God, an inside job by His power and His love.

6. What kind of Baptist Church is Here's Hope?

We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and subscribes to the most recent Baptist Faith and Message. Our church as such is independently run and governed by the local body of believers. We support missions with 8% of our offerings plus special SBC emphasis.
